MLBB Support Guide
The Roaming Force Behind Every Victory
Supports are utility-focused roamers who amplify their team through healing, shielding, crowd control, and vision. They attach a Roaming Blessing to their boots early so their gold and experience come from assists, chip damage on enemy heroes, and the vision they reveal rather than from farm while they rotate between lanes. Supports split into two archetypes: healer supports like Floryn, Estes, and Rafaela who sustain allies through prolonged fights, and engage supports like Mathilda, Kalea, and Diggie who create openings with crowd control and mobility. Regardless of archetype, a Support's core job is the same: keep your carries alive, control vision by checking bushes, and set up plays that your team converts into objectives.

Support Playstyle
- 1Attach a Roaming Blessing to your boots early. For the first 8 minutes Devotion cuts you to 30% of the gold from any minion or creep you take with no ally nearby, so leave the waves to your laners and earn from assists, chip damage, and vision instead
- 2Help your marksman survive the opening wave, then rotate to mid lane or the jungle to set up ganks with your jungler
- 3Check bushes constantly. Revealing vision pays your Blessing on its own, and assists carry a 45% gold and experience bonus under Thriving, so being in position for the fight your vision creates is your income
- 4Select a Blessing that matches your team's needs: Favor for sustained healing, Conceal for stealth engage setups, Encourage for team-wide stat buffs, or Dire Hit for a burst hit powered by the Force stacks you build while rotating
- 5Rotate to objectives before they spawn. Your crowd control and healing give your team the edge in Turtle and Lord contests
- 6Build items that counter the enemy's primary damage type rather than following a fixed build path every game
How Supports Win Teamfights
Position between your frontline and your backline carries. Healer supports prioritize keeping the highest-value ally alive with heals and shields while staying out of burst range. Engage supports look for crowd control openings that the team can follow up on. Use Revitalize or Aegis the moment the enemy commits to a dive to turn the fight.
Support Strengths
- Force multiplier that amplifies every teammate's effectiveness in fights
- Earns gold through a Roaming Blessing from assists, chip damage, and vision without competing for farm
- Strong healing, shielding, and crowd control that swing close teamfights
- Vision control through bush checking prevents enemy ambushes and rotations
- Some supports like Floryn and Angela can influence fights globally with their ultimates
Support Weaknesses
- Lowest personal damage output among all roles
- Squishy without defensive items, vulnerable to assassin dives and burst combos
- Reliant on team follow-up after creating openings with crowd control
- Anti-heal items like Dominance Ice and Sea Halberd reduce healing effectiveness significantly
- Limited solo carry potential, especially in uncoordinated solo queue matches

Frequently Asked Questions About Support
1How do Supports play the roam position in MLBB?
▼
There is no dedicated roaming boot in Mobile Legends. Supports buy Boots, upgrade to any advanced pair (Tough, Warrior, Rapid, Magic, and so on), then attach one of the four Roaming Blessings for free: Favor for healing, Conceal for stealth engages, Encourage for team stat buffs, or Dire Hit for damage built out of Force stacks you gain while moving. The Blessing activates the Devotion and Thriving passives. Since patch 2.1.88 it earns gold and experience from assists, from damage you deal to enemy heroes, from vision you reveal, and from minion or creep income shared while you stand with a laner, with each individual payout kept small. What it does not reward is farming alone: for the first 8 minutes a Blessing holder who clears minions or creeps with no ally nearby keeps only 30% of that gold, which is how Devotion leaves your laners on their full share. Thriving grants you 45% extra gold and experience from assists during those 8 minutes and, as a team-unique effect, passes 8 gold or 20 experience every 5 seconds to the ally with the lowest gold or experience, 25% more when that ally is you. Note that this hands income to your poorest teammate rather than to you, so fight participation, not the passive, is what funds your own build. The Blessing's skill unlocks once you have banked 1000 gold from Thriving and Devotion, at fixed values rather than ones that keep scaling with the gold you bank after that. As a roamer, you help your marksman through the opening wave, then rotate to mid lane, assist the jungler, and prepare for the first Turtle.
2What is the difference between a Support roamer and a Tank roamer?
▼
Tank roamers focus on initiating fights with hard crowd control like stuns, knockups, and taunts. They absorb burst damage at the front of the team and create space by threatening engage. Support roamers sustain teammates with heals, shields, and buffs while providing utility or softer crowd control. Pick a Tank roamer when your team lacks a frontline or needs a strong initiator. Pick a Support roamer when the team already has a durable Fighter or off-tank in the EXP lane and needs sustained healing or peel to protect a hypercarry like a late-game Marksman.
3Which items are essential for Support heroes in Mobile Legends?
▼
A Roaming Blessing on your boots is the mandatory early purchase, since assists, chip damage, and vision rather than farm are your income. After that, healer supports like Estes and Floryn prioritize Flask of the Oasis for healing amplification, followed by Enchanted Talisman for mana sustain and cooldown reduction. Oracle boosts the healing and shields you receive, while Dominance Ice cuts the Shield and HP Regen of nearby enemies. Engage supports like Mathilda and Kalea build defensive items that match the enemy's damage type: Antique Cuirass against physical threats, Athena's Shield against magic burst. Immortality is a strong late-game option for a second chance in decisive fights. Fleeting Time works well on ultimate-dependent supports like Estes whose healing scales with ultimate uptime.
4When should I pick a Support instead of a Tank for roaming?
▼
Pick a Support roamer when your team already has a durable Fighter or off-tank in the EXP lane who can absorb damage in teamfights. If the EXP laner picks a squishy hero like a damage-focused Assassin or Mage, a Tank roamer is usually better for initiation and damage absorption. Supports shine in compositions with a hypercarry Marksman who needs sustained healing and shielding to survive. They are also strong counter-picks against crowd control-heavy teams when running Diggie, whose ultimate cleanses all CC from nearby allies.
