The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) is the top tier of competitive Mobile Legends in Southeast Asia. Run by Moonton Games in partnership with regional organisers, MPL operates as a franchise circuit with split-based seasons: two regular-season splits per year, each followed by a playoffs bracket and grand finals. Champion and runner-up teams from each split qualify for the international stages.
Three active circuits feed the international calendar in 2026: MPL Indonesia, MPL Philippines, and MPL Malaysia. Each region runs eight franchise organisations playing a double round-robin regular season before crossing into a double-elimination playoffs bracket. Teams that finish on top of MPL feed into the Mid-Season Cup (MSC) and the year-end M-Series World Championship, MLBB's flagship global event.
Indonesia is the most-watched of the three, often peaking at millions of concurrent viewers on YouTube and TikTok during playoffs. The Philippines is the talent factory of the global scene, having taken multiple MSC titles and graduated a long list of MVP-calibre carries to international rosters. Malaysia hosted the very first M-Series World Championship (M1 in 2019) and returned as a host nation for M6 in 2024, with Selangor Red Giants delivering the country's first international MLBB title at MSC 2024.
