The MPL Malaysia Season 18 playoff race
MPL Malaysia Season 18 has 7 regular-season matches left. Secured a playoff place: SELANGOR RED GIANTS, TEAM REY, TEAM VAMOS, INVICTUS GAMING, BIGETRON MY BY VIT. Still in the race: TEAM FLASH, RRQ TORA. Eliminated: AC ESPORTS.
How the simulator works
- It starts from the real table
- The table is built from the results on the official MPL Malaysia schedule. The remaining matches are the regular-season matches on that schedule that have no result yet.
- Points for a match win: 1
- Each regular-season match is best of 3. The match win counts for the points column, and the score counts for net game win, which is games won minus games lost. A clean win moves it more than a close win.
- How level teams are ranked
- The simulator ranks teams with these steps, in this order. A later step separates only the teams that the steps before it left level.
- Match points
- Net game win over the season
- What secured and eliminated mean
- The simulator counts each way the open matches can end, with your picks kept. A team is secured when it is in the top 6 in all of them. A team is eliminated when it is in the top 6 in none of them.
- The playoff bracket
- The table sets the 6 playoff seeds, and the bracket pairs them the way the playoff rules of the league say. You pick the winner of each series. Once a series is played, the real result takes the place of your pick.
- No odds, no prediction
- The simulator shows what is possible, not what is likely. It gives no win chance, because the league data holds none.
