Arcane Masters of Burst and Control
Mages are magic damage dealers who control the mid lane with powerful skill-based abilities. Depending on the hero, they bring burst damage, area control, or sustained poke to a team composition. Mages provide essential magic damage that prevents enemies from stacking physical defense alone. They scale with magic power items and cooldown reduction, becoming increasingly threatening as they complete their core build.

Deal AoE burst damage from the backline, control zones with abilities, and burst down priority targets when they are exposed.
Mages primarily play the mid lane in Mobile Legends. The mid lane is the shortest lane on the map, allowing Mages to clear waves quickly with AoE abilities and rotate to side lanes or contest objectives like Turtle. Some Mages with strong crowd control can also play as roamers, while a few like Harith can flex to the gold lane.
Without magic damage, the enemy team can stack physical defense to become extremely tanky against your entire team. A Mage forces opponents to split their item budget between physical and magic defense, weakening their durability against both damage types. This is why balanced team compositions always include at least one source of magic damage.
Mages should clear the mid wave first, then rotate to assist side lanes or contest objectives. Push the wave into the enemy tower, then roam with a timing advantage. Leaving lane without clearing the wave costs gold, experience, and tower health. Effective mid lane rotations are what separate good Mage players from great ones.
