Faramis is the dark scholar who shares a long, complicated history with Vexana going back to their childhoods.
And then there's Terizla, a blacksmith whose son was taken by the Monastery, who spent a decade in prison before Alice freed him. He now forges weapons for the Abyss because the Moniyan side of the story left him nothing.
The Project NEXT 2025 update revamped Alice, Thamuz, and Dyrroth with new designs that reflect the Abyss as it truly is: shattered terrain, jagged structures, and the constant reminder that nothing soft survives here. The Scarlet Shadow is a separate faction within the Riverlands: a ninja village divided into competing sects. Hayabusa is from the Shadow Sect, raised to hunt Hanzo, the Akuma Ninja who consumed his own humanity to pursue immortal power. Hanabi is the Scarlet Sect's heir, gifted and burdened by her lineage. Kagura arrived carrying the Seimei Umbrella, a relic tied to the original Onmyouji Master who trained under the Great Dragon himself. The umbrella chose her. She had to grow into what it expected.
Other Key Regions
Northern Vale. The coldest part of the Land of Dawn, home to tribal warriors. Freya, Franco, and Bane come from here or are entangled with its coastal mythology. The Moniyan Empire tried to conquer it once. It did not go well for the Empire.
Eruditio. The city of scholars and technology, sitting in the mid-west of the continent. This is where Layla, Diggie, Alpha, and Beatrix operate. The Lethal Nexus arc put Eruditio in direct conflict with a villain named Octavius, and established it as one of the few places where science and magic actively compete.
Agelta Drylands. A vast desert in the west, home to nomadic peoples and ancient mysteries. Heroes like Khaleed and Badang carry this region's spirit.
The Celestial Palace and Beyond. Above the mortal plane, the Celestial beings exist outside normal rules. Zhask comes from space entirely, a planet-conquering entity who devoured worlds before arriving in the Land of Dawn. #The Timeline: From Creation to Now
The Beginning: The Unique God and the Endless War
Before the Land of Dawn had a name, there was a creator called the Unique God. From this figure came two opposing forces: the Lord of Light and the Lord of the Abyss. They waged an endless war over the continent. Neither could win. Neither would stop.
The Unique God's answer was Lunox. Born as a child with the power to hold both Order and Chaos inside herself, she stopped the war not by choosing a side but by absorbing both. The Black Dragon Awakening
