Jungle HP Burn

Roaming Tank
Hylos build · 11,320 gold
Situational Swaps

secondary anti-basic attack when you need it more than you need Cuirass against skill dmg fighters. Build Chastise Pauldrons 4th then Blade Armor last.

When most of the damage you take in teamfights is magic damage. Radiant is kinda sheet, all mages build Divine Glaive and Radiant just gives them a more value on it. Generally marksman do more to you, check damage report.

When enemy team has no significant sources of physical damage to demonstrate why that constitutes a terrible draft. If you still lose its kinda on you.

When Enemy team really lacks cc and has not a lot of magic damage.
Build Notes
Most important thing first: NO COD. Hylos never cared about mana. He is entirely about HP. CoD used to be good on him because with his old passive it gave him a total 1000 HP making it worthwhile along with its passives. NOW THAT THE PASSIVE WAS INVERTED ITS SHEET! DONT BUILD IT EVER! That said his first item is now clearly Thunderbelt, followed by Dominance Ice. Afterwards, if you have not somehow fallen behind and need to worry about surviving fights, Guardian Helmet to be able to stay on the map and reengage fights after a short regen period. Afterwards, situational counter items to the enemy damage profile. Most of the time the main sources of damage taken will be enemy marksman and (physical) fighters. Counter with Chastise Pauldron and Cuirass. Magic damage is usually avoidable and generally devided into poke and burst. Burst, you should be able to survive with Ult and Revitalize, also it will usually not be targeted at you. As for poke, you can just regen it back with GH. By my experience, tough boots and Hybrid Defense from Thunderbelt and Dominance Ice usually got you covered for magic defense beyond base stats. Check your damage reports. If you do want a dedicated counter item, Athena's. Always. You already have a bunch of magic defense, and Radiant Armor won't do much beyond adding value to the enemy Divine Glaive. There are better ways to waste 2000 gold. Emblems, Tank emblem always, no discussion. Nothing the other emblems offer even remotely compensates the lack of early hp. Spell, Revitalize. Vengeneance ain't really worth it rn for tanks. You can play him EXP lane as a very situational pick, especially when you have a healer support and your team lacks a frontline he can work great. If you do, basically just defend passively unless your team is present. Also makes for a great counterpick to stuff like Benedetta. Guinevere too. Bans: Lesley. Always Ban or Pick. You cannot counter her. Blade Armor Crit Dmg Red does not even work against her.
