My ignorance and foolishness led to my father's sacrifice—a soldier until his final breath, dying to save me. How I wish it had been me instead! Guilt and pain ensnared me like a web. Atonement became my only purpose; the destruction of the Enders my only reason to continue on... Back then, I chose solitude as my companion. I dreaded the thought of losing someone again.

But that day, your arrival was like a ray of starlight piercing my dark world. You saw me hiding in the shadows and reached out your hand without hesitation. From the moment you chose to become my partner, my fate began to shine with newfound radiance.

In this silent darkness, even as my body begins to dissolve... memories of you remain vivid and radiant. You took me to see the summer fireworks, to the girls' house, to the amusement park - showing me the life a young girl should have known... You helped me feel the joy I thought I'd never deserve.
