Theme: Hope Keywords: Family, War, and Hope
Lesley Lesley was born into a loving family and lived a normal life until the first invasion by the Enders. During an attack, Lesley lost her left eye trying to save her family. Ultimately her efforts were in vain and she has been alone ever since. Afterward, Lesley trained hard to become a soldier. She eventually joined the Shield of Dawnbreak and was stationed at the research base in Terrinia due to her outstanding marksman skills. She was assigned to protect the Chief Scientist couple and their brightest student—Chang'e. Lesley was on another mission when she received news that Terrinia was under attack by the Enders. She rushed back to the research base but was too late; the Chief Scientist couple had perished while saving the young Chang'e. Lesley deeply regretted not being there, but the grief-stricken Chang'e decided to sever all ties with her. To ease her guilt, Lesley has been protecting Chang'e in secret ever since. Years later, when the Enders attacked again, Lesley rushed out to protect Chang'e who had gone to face the enemy alone. She found Chang'e on the battlefield, overwhelmed by the Enders, and saved her at a critical moment. After the battle, the two resolved their misunderstandings and established Selrick Academy on the ruins of the old research base. Lesley became head of the combat division. To stop the threat of the Enders once and for all, Lesley undertook a secret mission to infiltrate Planet Oro and destroy the Control Core.
Chang'e Chang'e was a child prodigy and displayed a natural gift for science. She was taken in by a couple that shared the position of Chief Scientist at Terrinia's research base. There, they raised and mentored Chang'e as if she were their own. As the only child at the research base, Chang'e had no one to play with and developed a special bond with Lesley. Chang'e even went so far as to find out Lesley's birthday and secretly made her an artificial eye as a birthday present. When Terrinia came under attack by the Enders, the scientists grabbed Chang'e and ran for the bunkers. But just a few meters from safety, the Enders caught sight of them. The couple just barely managed to push Chang'e into a bunker before the blast hit. Through a small opening, Chang'e watched her world destroyed in an instant. Sometime after the attack, she was found by a frantic Lesley. Chang'e could not understand why her protector who never once left their side was nowhere to be found when they needed her most. In her grief, she resented Lesley for the death of her foster parents and broke all ties with her. Determined to destroy every last Ender, Chang'e poured everything into her research. After some years, she finally devised a way to power mecha armor and weapons using a miraculous discovery called Aspirant energy. When the Enders finally returned, Chang'e was the first on the scene, eager to get her revenge. However, she quickly found herself outnumbered and outmatched due to a lack of combat experience. Thankfully, Lesley arrived in the nick of time to finish off the remaining Enders. Looking into Lesley's worried eyes, Chang'e finally let go of the past and reconciled with her. Together, they founded Selrick Academy on the ruins of the research base with Chang'e helming the position of Chief Scientist. She has been providing support remotely to Lesley on her mission to infiltrate Planet Oro.
The appearance of a Twilight Orb in Universe A5-01 created the Will of the Planet, leading to a war between the forces of Planet Oro and the Enders that came at a terrible cost to the planet. After gaining control of the Enders' Control Core, the Oro High Council decided to use the Enders to plunder the resources of other planets. But when they launched their invasion of Planet Dawnbreak, Oro's forces met unprecedented resistance. Thus, a tale of loss, war, and hope unfolds...
Universe A5-01 — Home to a cluster of galaxies with planets inhabited by intelligent life such as Planet Oro and Planet Dawnbreak; a stable and peaceful universe before the birth of the Will of the Planet. Will of the Planet — An advanced being created from the fusion of energy generated from the explosion of a Twilight Orb; its existence is closely tied to the planets and it has the ability to create life forms from its will. Planet Dawnbreak — A young Earth-like planet in Galaxy A-19 with a temperate climate and abundant natural resources. Planet Oro — An ancient planet in Galaxy A-20 that has depleted all of its resources in its initial war with the Enders. The Aspirants — Planet Dawnbreak's greatest fighting force that can harness Aspirant energy to power their highly advanced weapons. The Enders — Born from the Will of the Planet, they appear when a universe is out of balance to destroy the underlying cause and restore equilibrium. However, the Enders' Control Core was captured by Planet Oro and re-engineered to control the Enders for intergalactic colonization.
