Rank Reset Chart
When a new ranked season starts in 2026, all players above Warrior rank get demoted. This is the complete MLBB rank reset chart (the full rank down list) showing exactly where you land at the start of the new season.
Key takeaways
- ◆Mythic Glory and Mythic Immortal both reset to Legend 5, so there is no advantage to pushing beyond 50 Stars purely for placement.
- ◆The biggest gap is from Legend 1 (drops to Epic 3) to Mythic 1-24 Stars (drops to Epic 2). Reaching Mythic before the season ends gives you a slightly higher starting point.
- ◆Warrior and Elite players keep their rank with zero stars. The reset only affects Master and above.
How the Reset Formula Works
The demotion follows one rule set for every player. Read the chart by division, not by stars alone: the tier you finish in decides the band you land in, and inside Mythic the star band decides which Epic or Legend division you start from.
- 1Mythic Glory (50-99 Stars) and Mythic Immortal (100+ Stars) both drop to Legend 5. Above 50 Stars, extra stars change your end-of-season rewards, not your placement.
- 2Mythic Honor (25-49 Stars) drops to Epic 1 and Mythic (1-24 Stars) drops to Epic 2. Crossing 25 Stars is worth one Epic division at the reset.
- 3Legend 1 to 4 drop to Epic 3 and Legend 5 drops to Epic 4, so a Legend 5 finish restarts from the same division as an Epic 1 finish.
- 4Epic 1 restarts at Epic 4, Epic 2 and 3 at Epic 5, and Epic 4 and 5 land in Grandmaster 1 and 2. Grandmaster 1 to 3 drop into Grandmaster 3 to 5, and Grandmaster 4 and 5 into Master 1 and 2.
- 5Master 1 to 4 restart at Elite 1 and 2, while Elite and Warrior keep their tier at 0 Stars. Nothing below Master is demoted.
Reset Day Timeline
What happens on September 16, 2026, step by step, in the three time zones most MLBB players use.
08:00 UTC (16:00 PHT / 15:00 WIB): Season 41 ends
The ranked queue closes and your highest rank of the season is locked in for end-of-season rewards.
Maintenance window (about 1 to 3 hours)
The game updates to the new season. Expect ranked to be unavailable during this window; the exact length varies by season and region.
Season 42 opens: rank reset applied
When ranked reopens, your rank has already moved to the new division shown in the chart above. Your first Season 42 ranked matches start from there.
First week of Season 42
Queues are full of players re-climbing from Epic and Legend, so lobbies are mixed for the first few days. Check the tier list for the heroes winning in the new season before you lock in.
Before the reset: a 4-point checklist
- ◆Reach 20 ranked matches this season to secure the seasonal skin.
- ◆Find your row in the rank reset chart so the new starting division is not a surprise.
- ◆If you are Legend 1 or close to Mythic, push for Mythic 1 Star: it restarts one Epic division higher (Epic 2 instead of Epic 3).
- ◆Note the reset time in your own time zone. The server never shifts for daylight saving, so 08:00 UTC is fixed all year.

End-of-Season Tips
Complete 20 ranked matches
Play at least 20 ranked matches during the season to claim the exclusive seasonal skin. Wins are not required, but you must finish each match.
Push before the final week
The last few days of a season attract many players making last-minute pushes. Queue quality can be inconsistent. Try to reach your target rank at least a week early.
Know your reset destination
Check the rank reset table above. If you are at Legend 1, you will drop to Epic 3. Reaching Mythic (even 1 Star) gives you Epic 2 instead, saving several matches of climbing.
Stick to your best heroes
The end of the season is not the time to experiment. Play your highest win-rate heroes for the most consistent results. Check the current meta on our tier list.
Play during peak hours
Queue during evening hours (7 PM to 10 PM local time) for better matchmaking quality. Late-night and early-morning games tend to have more uneven teams.
Consider duo or trio queue
Solo queue in the final days can be volatile. Playing with one or two trusted teammates significantly improves coordination and reduces the impact of random matchmaking.
