I push down the brim of my hat and retreat deep into the alley." "The Bramble Sand Hunters in Los Pecados are notoriously cruel and mean, and love to make conflict with people. When these outlaws still have some money in their pockets, they often visit the filthy taverns and casinos deep in the alleyways where they drink to their hearts' content. But after a few days, they return to the desert to join the next life and death adventure.” -"Chapter Two: What Outsiders See" Los Pecados is located on the edge of the Agelta Drylands, close to the border with the Moniyan Empire. After the collapse of the city-state alliance in Agelta, this once prosperous strategically important commercial town became a land of no owners. A group of homeless soldiers occupied it and opened up a disorderly black market here. The entrances and exits of Los Pecados have huge cargo throughput every day. In addition to the various smuggled illicit goods, there are many other unique desert specialties. The residents of Los Pecados can be divided into five main types. The most numerous and the earliest group of residents are descendants of the army of the Old Moniyan Empire. They thrived in the city and became “Sand Hunters” or ordinary citizens. There is an essential difference between these two. The sand hunters specialize in looting passing caravans on the Emerald Road to obtain illegal profits but they also catch and attack some amazingly strong and powerful desert monsters. These monsters have treasures all over their bodies that are extremely valuable. The sand hunters have become the main force in the city because of their weapons and power, but because each of them belongs to different sand hunting groups, they often fall into internal battles. The other half are the honest, ordinary people who have lived here for generations. They have also tasted the sweetness of the rising black market and commercial trade, and so prefer to live a life of danger rather than leave their hometown. Smugglers are the soul of Los Pecados, and it is because of their existence that this city of sins is full of life and vitality and more prosperous. Due to there being a lack of strong authority, theoretically speaking, there is no risk associated with buying or selling anything in Los Pecados. This has attracted almost all the smugglers on the Land of Dawn to gather here where they can try and play the market. The fourth type of inhabitants are the businessmen who came here after the rise of Los Pecados. They often feel frustrated living in their hometowns and wish to make a small fortune here. Some choose to do petty business in the city, such as running taverns, casinos, or selling other necessities, and some use the city as a place to buy treasures from smugglers, which they can sell back home. The last type of people are the most special. They are fugitives from various places who have come to Los Pecados in order to escape their punishments. This land of no owners is suitable for these people to remain at liberty and make a living through illegal means. Generally speaking, all forces and classes in the city can coexist peacefully, but if disputes arise, merchants and common people often choose to swallow their anger, while the outlaws and smugglers will get into fights if they don't agree with one another; disputes between sand hunting groups have the potential to turn into huge conflagrations. Due to the mixture of various forces and civilizations, coupled with trade exchanges, you can see people wearing clothing and adornments of various civilizations and different periods here. Don't be surprised at all, because the people here got used to it a long time ago.
