The second phase of MLBB x Naruto is shaping up to be the bigger event. Phase 1 brought Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and Gaara to the Land of Dawn back in May 2025. Phase 2, according to leaks from trusted MLBB leaker AceUnyil, targets a 27 March 2026 launch and brings two characters who were conspicuously absent the first time around: Itachi Uchiha and Minato Namikaze.
These aren't supporting picks. Itachi and Minato are arguably the two most requested Naruto characters the community wanted from day one. Moonton saved them for a reason.
Reminder: Everything below related to Phase 2 skins is based on unconfirmed leaks. Moonton has not issued an official announcement yet. AceUnyil's track record is strong, but treat the details as subject to change.
#What Phase 1 Established
Before getting into Phase 2, it's worth understanding what MLBB x Naruto Phase 1 actually delivered, because Phase 2 appears to be building directly on that foundation.
Phase 1 ran from May 2 to June 15, 2025. It wasn't just skins. The battlefield was overhauled: minions reskinned as shinobi units, turrets given ninja-themed designs, and the Lord transformed into Madara Uchiha with a unique fight sequence. A Naruto-themed MAYHEM mode ran alongside it.
The five collab skins from Phase 1:
| Hero | Naruto Character | Skin Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Lukas | Naruto Uzumaki | Collab |
| Suyou | Sasuke Uchiha | Collab |
| Kalea | Sakura Haruno | Collab |
| Hayabusa | Kakashi Hatake | Collab |
| Vale | Gaara | Collab (Free via event) |
The Vale / Gaara skin was obtainable for free through the "Path of the Ninja" event by completing mini-games and daily challenges. The four premium skins required 1,200 Coins of Flame each, obtainable through the gacha draw or accumulated via daily tasks.
Phase 1 set a high bar. Phase 2 needs to clear it.
#Phase 2 Skins: What the Leaks Show
Julian as Itachi Uchiha
Julian is the hero carrying the Itachi skin, and based on leaked gameplay clips, the visual direction is exactly what you'd want. The color palette is consistent red and black across every ability, pulling from Sharingan, Amaterasu, and Susanoo imagery without trying to cram all three into a single skill.
Julian's projectile skills are reworked into Katon Gōkakyū no Jutsu, launching large fireballs with layered flame effects instead of standard magic projectiles. Crow imagery appears repeatedly during ability transitions, reinforcing Itachi's genjutsu identity without overexplaining the reference. One skill uses fan-out flame shuriken visuals, another shows lingering black flame effects clearly inspired by Amaterasu.
The enhanced basic attack is where the skin earns its premium tier. Spectral Susanoo arms strike alongside Julian's animations, giving each hit noticeably more visual weight. The entire skin reads as a cohesive design rather than a character model swap with recolored effects.
Julian has done this before. He carried Megumi Fushiguro in the JJK collab and Kurapika from HxH. The hero's moveset translates well to anime collaborations. The Itachi pairing makes a lot of sense mechanically.
Gusion as Minato Namikaze
The Minato skin for Gusion leans entirely into the Yellow Flash identity, which is the correct call. Speed, precision, and sudden bursts of yellow light define every ability rather than trying to replicate raw spectacle.
Gusion's daggers are replaced by Hiraishin kunai, which visibly mark enemies on hit. The teleport to marked targets triggers as a sharp yellow flash with a Rasengan impact on arrival. The movement is deliberately abrupt, designed to sell Minato's reputation as the fastest shinobi. One sequence shows multiple Hiraishin kunai filling the screen with rapid yellow flashes during the ultimate animation.
There's a fan-service moment in the ultimate: after teleporting, Minato briefly strikes the iconic arrival pose from the Fourth Shinobi World War. Subtle. Instant recognition if you know it. That's the kind of reference that separates a thoughtful collab skin from a generic one.
Gusion previously received the K' skin from the KOF collab. The Minato skin reportedly pushes animation complexity beyond even that.
#Returning Phase 1 Skins
According to multiple sources including the Vietnamese MLBB community, Phase 1 skins for Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake are expected to return during Phase 2.
This is significant for players who missed the original event window. The Gaara skin redemption structure may return as well, though that hasn't been confirmed specifically.
#Event Structure and Cost Expectations
Based on the Phase 1 framework, Phase 2 will almost certainly use the same gacha-based draw system with a token redemption shop. What that looked like in Phase 1:
- Daily discounted draws: Single pull at 25 diamonds (regular 50), ten-draw bundle at 450 (regular 500)
- Pity system: Guarantees a main skin after a set number of draws
- Token redemption: Each pull gives 5-20 event tokens, 1,200 tokens per premium skin
- Free skin path: Mini-games and daily challenges accumulate points toward a free collab skin (was Vale/Gaara in Phase 1)
- Premium Supply missions: Log-in rewards, recharge milestones, and spend targets providing bonus tokens
- Event duration: Expected 3-4 weeks, similar to Phase 1's 44-day window
Cost estimates for Phase 2, extrapolating from Phase 1:
| Goal | Estimated Diamond Cost |
|---|---|
| One premium skin (luck-dependent) | 1,500 to 5,000 |
| One premium skin (pity guarantee) | ~3,000 to 5,000 |
| Full Phase 2 collection | 8,000 to 12,000+ |
These numbers assume consistent daily participation and full completion of Premium Supply missions. Missing daily discounts noticeably inflates the total.
#Are These Skins Worth It?
For Julian mains, the Itachi skin looks like a strong yes. The Susanoo arm effects during enhanced basic attacks alone make this a visual upgrade over his existing options. Julian's current Epic-tier skins don't come close to this level of particle work.
For Gusion, it's competitive. Gusion already has some of the best skins in the game. The Minato skin needs to be meaningfully better than his Collector to justify the collab premium, and based on the leaked animations, it appears to be, primarily because the Hiraishin mechanic integrates directly into Gusion's kit in a way that feels intentional rather than cosmetic.
The real question is whether Moonton brings back the Madara Lord, the ninja-themed battlefield, and a free skin path for Phase 2. If Phase 2 matches Phase 1's scope, this is one of the year's better collab events regardless of which character you're targeting.
Check hero pages for Julian and Gusion on mlbbhub.com for current kit details before committing to either skin.
#What to Watch For
Moonton has not confirmed Phase 2 officially. If the 27 March 2026 date is accurate, teasers should appear on official MLBB social channels within the next week or two. Keep an eye on the official MLBB YouTube and in-game notification center.
If you're planning to spend, start saving Diamonds now. The Phase 1 pattern suggests daily participation throughout the full event window is the most diamond-efficient path.
